Carved Irish in Slate by Mark Weiser
Almost 2000 years ago the Irish had their language but no way to write it. So they developed an alphabet called Ogham. (pronounced “ohm”.) Carved into wood beams or large stone markers, this was a way to communicate ownership and also news. (The Romans in the area had no idea how to translate.)
Mark carved three Irish words into this 10″ x 14″ natural slate. The words: Clann, Gra and Sláinte translate to Family, Love and Health respectively. Three words that best show the strength of the Irish. This is a one-of-a-kind natural slate with stone imperfections. We offer FREE SHIPPING.
