Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1996 from Iowa State University in Ames, IA.  She is originally from the Des Moines suburb of Grimes, Iowa. She has lived in Marion since 2003. Being a stay-at-home mom to two great kids gives her time while they are at school to pursue her passions of creating fused glass pieces and photography.   Amy discovered the art of glass fusing in the summer of 2011 while her kids were at a summer recreation class, and she has been cutting and fusing glass ever since. For her glass pieces, she gets inspiration from the world around her. Amy takes the visualization of a sunset on a beach or a tree blooming in the spring and transforms it into a beautiful glass piece. Her color combinations reflect constant color staples as well as upcoming color trends in home and fashion.
