Art Everyday features the pottery of Alisa L. Engelhardt Smith, from Waterloo, IA. Alisa has about 20 years experience making pottery on a potter’s wheel. She enjoys making functional pieces such as mugs, bowls, and stem-less wine glasses. After forming her pieces on the wheel, Alisa often creates additional interest on the piece by adding raised texture, a stamped image, or a quote. Alisa makes all her own glazes from scratch, and fires all her pieces in her own kiln. Her pottery studio is located in the basement of her home. All Art Everyday pottery is safe to use in the microwave, the dishwasher, and even the oven.
