Hinterland Dairy Farmstead Cheese
Hinterland Dairy makes fresh cheese every week in our new on-farm processing facility with milk from our own dairy herd. The milk is made into fresh curds; our aged Alpine style cheddar cheese – The Brooks Place; and our regular and jalapeno Monterey Jack we call Happy Jack. We also make fresh spreadable quark, a German style cheese, in regular and garlic & herb flavors. Our on-farm store features windows into the processing and ageing rooms, as well as a video of the cow milking and cheese making processes. Our farm store also features many other locally made products and foods, such as beef sticks, honey, jellies and salsas. Our cheese processing plant and store are surrounded by pastures, sometimes featuring our heifers or cows out grazing. All items from our online store are available for shipping. Gift baskets and boxes are available before the holidays, and can be shipped. Open weekends and by appointment.
